How to Filter a Matrix for One Project or Gang

Tag every worker with current project, gang or supervisor fields, then filter to that set before you check expiries and inductions. A whole-company scroll invites missed gaps on the people who actually start Monday.

Quick answer

Maintain project/gang tags on each row, update them when labour moves, and run filters for the named crew plus the site-specific induction columns for that job. Export that filtered view for gate or client packs.

Fields that make filters work

  • Current project or site code
  • Gang or supervisor name
  • Worker type and employer
  • Active / inactive flag so leavers never appear

Monday review pattern

  1. Confirm the crew list with the supervisor (names, not headcount).
  2. Filter the matrix to those tags.
  3. Check portable tickets and project inductions.
  4. Open the gap log for anyone red or missing.
  5. Clear only when evidence is on the record.

If people sit on two sites in one week, allow multiple tags or a primary-plus-secondary field — but keep the filter honest for each shift pattern.

Honest limits

FieldClear filters assigned records by the attributes you maintain. Bad tags produce bad crew views — the software cannot invent who is travelling. Not legal advice.
