How to Track Client-Specific Inductions
Client-specific inductions expire when the site, contract or briefing cycle says they do. Put each induction on its own matrix column or requirement, copy the completion date from the register or LMS, and attach the signed evidence. A company induction does not cover a principal-contractor site brief.
Quick answer
Name the induction after the client or project (for example “ACME Gateway PC induction”), not a generic “Site induction”. Record who completed it, when, and where the proof lives. When the project ends or the client reissues the brief, close or renew that column — do not leave a green cell implying lifelong access.
One induction, one requirement
- Separate company induction from client / PC inductions
- Add project codes when the same client runs several live sites
- Store e-learning certificates and signed attendance sheets against the same requirement
- Note whether the induction is time-limited or project-limited
Weekly control without drowning in columns
You do not need every historic site as an active column forever. Keep active project inductions on the live matrix. Archive finished-site columns after demobilisation so filters stay usable. Filter by project before Monday mobilisation rather than scrolling a wall of old greens.
- List live clients and projects that require a unique induction.
- Create one matrix requirement per induction rule.
- Import or enter completion dates from the register.
- Attach evidence the same day the briefing is signed.
- Archive the column when the site closes.
Honest limits
FieldClear tracks the induction requirements you assign. It does not decide which client inductions a site demands, deliver the briefing content, or certify that someone is ready for work. This is operational guidance, not legal advice.
