How to Review a Training Matrix Before Monday Mobilisation

Before Monday mobilisation, filter the matrix to the people who will actually travel, check portable tickets and site inductions, and decide — with the supervisor — who is cleared, who is blocked, and who needs a same-day evidence chase. Do it on the live file, not an emailed copy from Thursday.

Quick answer

Run a fixed pre-start checklist Friday afternoon or first thing Monday: named crew filter, expired/missing scan, project induction check, agency substitutions confirmed, gap log updated. No green cells for bookings without certificates.

The review checklist

  1. Confirm the crew list with the supervisor (including substitutes).
  2. Filter the live matrix to that gang or project.
  3. Flag expired, missing and illegible evidence.
  4. Check client / PC induction columns for that site.
  5. Decide clear / blocked / conditional for each name.
  6. Update the gap log and tell the gate or contracts lead.

What “conditional” must mean

  • Evidence promised by a hard time the same morning — with a named owner
  • Never “they’re on a course next week” for a card needed today
  • Documented exception only under your written authority process

Keep the review short. If it takes hours, your tags, columns or ownership are wrong — fix the system mid-week, not in the Monday scramble.

Honest limits

FieldClear speeds filters and highlights gaps from the dates and evidence you hold. It does not authorise work, replace site induction, or certify competence. Mobilisation decisions stay with your supervisors and H&S process. Not legal advice.
