What Training Evidence Does Constructionline Ask For?
Constructionline assessments (including Common Assessment Standard pathways) usually ask for training evidence that supports your health and safety answers: who is trained for which activities, with dates and files you can retrieve. Exact questions vary by level and questionnaire version.
Quick answer
Expect named examples — cards, courses and briefings relevant to your work — not a universal list identical for every contractor. Organise evidence so a sample can be pulled without hunting shared drives. A matrix helps; Constructionline does not require FieldClear.
Evidence types commonly requested
- Site cards (for example CSCS or affiliated schemes) where your work requires them
- Role or activity training (first aid, asbestos awareness, plant, working at height where relevant)
- Induction or briefing examples that match your described process
- Subcontractor samples if you use supply-chain labour
- Policy and procedure documents that explain how training is assigned and reviewed
How to keep the sample coherent
Write down the roles and activities your submission covers first. Then gather certificates that match that story. Random CSCS scans without role context often trigger clarification requests.
- Freeze a named workforce sample before chasing files.
- Check expiry dates against today’s calendar.
- Replace illegible scans and fix name mismatches.
- Export a dated pack with the application reference.
Honest limits
FieldClear helps you organise and export assigned training records. It does not provide Constructionline membership, interpret CAS criteria or guarantee assessment outcomes. Scheme requirements change — use your live questionnaire. Not legal advice.
