NEBOSH Certificate Tracker for Named People

Record who holds which NEBOSH qualification, the date you hold, and the certificate file — alongside the rest of the training matrix. FieldClear does not issue NEBOSH awards.

  • Named qualification, not a yes/no H&S cell
  • Certificate file beside the date
  • Sits in the same matrix as site tickets
  • Import the H&S qualification list you already keep

14-day free trial. No card required.

NEBOSH is a qualification record, not a site card

It often has no tidy expiry in the CSCS sense. Record the award you hold, the date, and the file — then decide separately whether your process requires a refresher.

Do not hide it in a generic H&S column

IOSH, NEBOSH and SMSTS answer different questions. Keep the award name explicit so a client pack does not imply the wrong course.

Reminders only where you assign them

If your organisation sets a review date, FieldClear can warn you. If the award has no expiry, do not invent one in the software.

  • You choose whether a date applies
  • You choose who is notified
  • The file stays with the person

How it works

From spreadsheet to live matrix in minutes.

No implementation project. No onboarding calls. Start with the file you already maintain.

  1. Step 1: Upload your matrix

Import your existing Excel or CSV file.

  2. Step 2: We organise it

Map workers, roles, requirements and expiry dates.

  3. Step 3: See what needs attention

Instantly see expired, expiring and missing requirements.

Quick answer

A NEBOSH certificate tracker records which named people hold which NEBOSH awards, with the certificate file and any review date you assign. FieldClear does not issue, verify or replace NEBOSH qualifications, and a matrix cell is not membership or competence as a safety professional.

Certificates in personal email

NEBOSH certificates often sit with the individual. When that person is on leave and a framework asks who the named H&S advisor is, the office cannot produce the file. Holding a copy on the worker record is an operational choice, not a transfer of the award.

Record the award honestly

  1. Add NEBOSH as a named requirement — NGC, NGC3, Diploma, or whatever you actually hold.
  2. Enter the award date you can evidence.
  3. Attach the certificate.
  4. Only add an expiry or review date if your process truly has one.
  5. Keep site tickets such as SMSTS as separate requirements.

What FieldClear does not do

  • It does not issue or verify NEBOSH awards.
  • It does not make someone a competent H&S advisor.
  • It does not replace professional memberships or charterships.

You can keep using Excel. But Excel won’t chase expiries for you.

Excel is flexible, familiar and free, which is exactly why almost every contractor starts there. The limitation isn’t the spreadsheet — it’s that a spreadsheet can only tell you what someone last typed into it.

Plenty of contractors run a perfectly good spreadsheet for years. The question isn’t whether Excel works — it’s whether anyone is checking it the week something quietly expires.

Questions people ask before signing up

Can I store certificates?

Yes. Attach supporting evidence such as PDFs and images to worker records, so the certificate sits alongside the expiry date rather than in a separate folder.

Does the software tell me which qualifications are legally required?

No. The system helps you track the requirements your organisation assigns. You remain responsible for determining what applies to your workers and activities. We do not provide legal or health and safety advice.

Can I import my existing Excel training matrix?

Yes. Upload an Excel or CSV file, map the columns to workers, roles, qualifications and expiry dates, then preview the result. Nothing is created until you confirm the import.

Is my data private?

Each organisation's data is isolated from every other organisation's. Documents and records are encrypted in transit and at rest, access is controlled by user permissions, and you can export or delete your data at any time. We host in the UK and EU.

Who is FieldClear for?

Contractors, trades and facilities teams that keep a training matrix or certificate register — typically about 10 to 200 active workers. It fits teams replacing Excel for expiry tracking, evidence and reminders. It is not an LMS, not an accreditation service, and not a full HSEQ suite for RAMS, COSHH or equivalent site documentation.

Is this an LMS?

No. The product tracks workforce qualifications, evidence and expiry dates. It does not deliver e-learning courses or assessments.

How does the free trial work?

You get 14 days with the full product and no card required. Import your matrix, invite colleagues and see whether it fits how you work. If you do nothing at the end of the trial, the account simply stops.

Your training matrix already exists. Make it useful.

Upload your spreadsheet and turn it into a live view of who’s current, what’s expiring and what needs attention.
