Should Agencies Provide Training Certificates?

Quick answer

Require the agency to supply current, readable evidence for each named worker against your required set. Enter it on your matrix. Reject illegible photos and “generic crew packs” that do not match Monday’s names.

What to ask for

• Full name matching the booking and ID
• CSCS (or affiliated) card faces and expiry where required
• Task tickets that match the work (IPAF category, first aid, and so on)
• Any client induction already completed, with date
• Confirmation of who pays for renewals mid-assignment

Common failure modes

Agencies often send a spreadsheet of dates without files, or files for last week’s gang. Treat “booked” as not “evidenced”. Keep agency rows tagged so filters separate payroll from temporary labour when clients sample.

2. Refuse starts without named files for gate-critical cards.
3. Load the matrix before induction where possible.
4. Re-verify on every substitution.
