How Long Does an F-Gas Certificate Last?

F-Gas personnel qualifications and related company obligations do not share one casual card life you can safely invent. Validity depends on the certificate type, awarding pathway and current regulatory framework — copy the dates on the evidence you hold, keep personnel and company records separate, and verify with the scheme or provider. Do not rely on guessed fees or periods from marketing copy.

Quick answer

Read the certificate in front of you. Note whether it is an individual competence certificate, a company registration document or both. Record expiry or review dates exactly, and confirm current rules with the awarding body or regulator pathway you use.

Separate the artefacts

  • Individual F-Gas competence evidence and categories
  • Company-level registration or certification where required
  • Linked ECS or other trade cards stored under their own names
  • Job types the person is actually authorised to perform

HVAC matrix habits

  1. Filter F-Gas rows before refrigerant-handling mobilisations.
  2. Reject vague F-Gas current cells without a document date.
  3. Re-check after category or regulation updates from your provider.
  4. Attach readable evidence to the worker or company record.

Honest limits

FieldClear tracks assigned F-Gas requirements and dates. It does not interpret fluorinated-gas law, state fees or certify competence. Verify scheme and provider dates. Not legal advice.
